Flash Update

The latest from the Harmons:
- We had a Reformation party near Halloween that was fun but we forgot to take many pictures.  There are a few below.  Jake's mom was here for that weekend.
-The weather is still warm and the locals say it's about 10 degrees warmer than it usually is this time of year.  We're still having temps in the 80's during the day, sometimes the 90's too.  The nights are much cooler and we have been able to leave the AC off for the past few weeks.
-Lauda had to kill her first scorpion.  Ugh.  Jake was at work and couldn't save her.
-Lauda went into a hospital in Scottsdale for a job interview and ended up in the ER instead, passing a kidney stone.  Ouch!
-Jake is enjoying his job, which we're thankful for because there are a lot of parts of living here that we don't like.  The job was the primary reason for coming and if it wasn't enjoyable then we'd really have a hard time being here :)
-Lurch is moving around a lot these days and has actually shifted his position in addition to the normal kicks and punches.  There is a picture of Lurch and Lauda at 22 weeks gestation below.
-We have a random black cat coming in and out of our backyard.  As long as it doesn't leave poop or kittens behind I guess it's ok that it passes through.  It's an awful whiner when it's here though and makes me want to throw it over the wall or call animal control.  And of course it doesn't have any tags on.
-Allergy season has descended upon us :(  and so have the snowbirds (old folks here for the winter) and thus awful driving conditions! They need to have a special slow lane here for these people.
-In our free time we like to take walks, do crossword puzzles (Jake is getting really good at them!), sudoku and read to each other.  We're usually in bed by 9:00 pm.  :)

A Crossword Puzzle (made from puzzle pieces and missing some by the end of the evening), Pepto Bismol and Static Cling.

Our Asian version of a pumpkin

Laura & Gavin Grainger - some guests who brought authentic German food

Charlie attended the party dressed as Lurch.

Some decos.  Good use of the kung fu sash :)

Appetizers

Ready for trick-or-treaters, and yes, that is another kung fu sash, with spiders on it.

Lauda & Lurch - 22 weeks.  Don't panic!  That's a running skirt and there are shorts built in underneath it :)
